  • Employees will be required to carpool or take public transportation to the Club.
  • Employee on-site housing eliminates need for commute to work.
  • The Club will increase its shuttle service in eco-friendly shuttles.
  • A bicycle and car sharing program will be started for guests and employees of the Club.

Energy Use

  • The Club will reduce its energy use from current levels
  • LEED protocols require a high level of energy efficiency.
  • The Aspen Club will reduce its carbon footprint through a combination of geothermal exchange, solar photovoltaic energy, better insulation and efficient HVAC.

Construction

  • Construction traffic will come down Ute Avenue and not through Crystal Lake Road.
  • Construction at the Club will not start before 8:00 am.
  • A comprehensive construction management plan will be put into place.

Conclusion

  • This redevelopment will allow the club to offer better services and amenities to members and guests.
  • The project will offer the staff greater opportunities to enhance their careers and earning potential.
  • The additional housing units will allow owners to share the experience of healthy living that brings Aspenites together in such a strong sense of community inside and outside of the Club.
  • With the financial support provided by the proposed project, the town of Aspen can be certain that the Aspen Club will continue to promote and protect the values of healthy living that brings this community together.
